Joma and the Spanish Olympic Committee have opted for recycled polyester for the uniformity with which Spanish athletes will collect their medals.

The first athlete to inaugurate the Spanish medal table was Fran Garrigós after winning the bronze in judo (60-kilogram category). The current European champion has debuted the award line that Joma has designed for the Spanish Olympic Committee. The current European champion has managed to achieve the second-highest score that a fighter can achieve in this martial art against his opponent, the current world champion.

For this part of the COE collection, a totally innovative, contemporary design has been developed, following current sports fashion trends. National colors are reflected on high-performance and sustainable fabrics.

Sustainability as the central axis of the Olympic equipment.

The tracksuit with which Garrigós has debuted incorporates a novel wrinkled effect on the sleeves and on the back, something that makes each garment unique. This 3D effect creates a visual play by applying ecological dye without pesticides in double color. When stretching the fabric in those areas where extra freedom of movement is needed, the red gives way to yellow. On the other hand, it has been made 100% with recycled polyester as part of Joma’s commitment to the sustainability of the planet. This material helps reduce pollution from plastics from thousands of residual bottles and decrease carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

The most innovative technology to provide the highest quality to athletes.

It is a very light and breathable fabric, providing great comfort to athletes in a warm climate. The Micro-Mesh System mesh lining, along with sweat ventilation openings, help athletes feel comfortable in the warm climate of Paris. As for the trousers, it stands out for its straight cut, adjustable elastic waist with drawstring, and the three pockets it includes.

Completing the Podium line is a t-shirt full of technical details. For example, it has no seams, but all closures are made using the heat sealing technique. Body temperature has been specially taken care of using the “cool feeling” fabric and the ventilation system composed of laser-cut perforations that ensure sweat perspiration. Likewise, for such a special moment as receiving an Olympic medal, the brand has revamped its famous Storm Viper model, known for its great comfort and cushioning. It is a white design, with details in national colors, and incorporates the latest running shoe technology, such as the REACTIVEBALL, STABILIS, or JOMA SPORTECH systems.

In short, the Podium line reinvents national colors and creates a design full of strength and identity. This is just the beginning of the times we have yet to see our athletes receive their medals at the most important sports event of the last four years.
