Joma is proud to announce its new role as Technical and Apparel Sponsor of the world-renowned Two Oceans Marathon, for the 2025 edition of the race.
Known as the “World’s Most Beautiful Marathon,” the event showcases Cape Town’s breathtaking scenery and brings together a vibrant community of runners from around the globe.
In this way, the brand adds another sponsorship to its wide range of prestigious global marathons, such as the ACEA Run Rome Marathon, Ibiza Marathon, the Movistar Madrid Half Marathon, Paris 20k, and now South Africa’s biggest running event.
In celebration of this collaboration, Spanish company Joma will create a special edition of the high-end Joma R-2000 model as a bespoke event shoe souvenir – an ode to all past, present, and future runners of this iconic race and a commitment to further elevate the brand in the African continent.

R-2000 Two Oceans Marathon
The exclusive design of the R-2000 Two Oceans Marathon shoes combines innovation and art, incorporating the vibrant colors of the race logo in an abstract pattern that evokes the dynamic movement of the waves of the two oceans that bathe Cape Town: the Atlantic and the Indian, as well as the natural richness of the city. Every detail symbolizes the fusion between nature and sport, which defines this legendary test.
In addition, the R-2000 line is prepared to withstand the pace required by both the 56 km and the 21.1 km race. It is the most complete that Joma has made so far. It offers a balanced experience with each stride, thanks to its excellent cushioning, high reactivity, and lightness, aspects that minimize effort and enhance performance in the race.
The upper is made of technical mesh, ultra-breathable and lightweight, with VTS perforations that promote sweat ventilation. The JOMA SPORTECH thermosealed adjustment system ensures foot support.
On the other hand, its wider last offers comfortable support. The midsole with a 10 mm drop has been constructed with double material to provide a more stable footfall. At the rear, it features FLY REACTIVE technology, a lightweight and flexible material that offers excellent propulsion while softening the footfall. At the front, the high-density phylon absorbs impacts.
Finally, the outsole is made of DURABILITY rubber with very good resistance to abrasion on asphalt, which extends the durability of its use.
