Both #JomaPlayers, Marcel Granollers and Magda Linette, are one step away from the finals in their respective categories, having been elevated to the title of semi-finalists at the 2023 Australian Open.

Marcel Granollers and Magda Linette, who are officially sponsored by Joma, have been the two leading figures during this Australian Open. Both have brought the #JomaTeam the most outstanding results in the first Grand Slam of the 2023 season. And in Linette’s case, she has brought excitement back to Polish tennis by playing her way  into the semi-finals.

Magda Linette, is grateful after her historic result

After ten days of the tournament, Magda Linette won a place in the penultimate stage by beating Karolina Pliskova by 6-3 and 7-5 in 87 minutes. Although, in the end, she did not make the final, the Joma-sponsored Polish tennis player became the third player of her country to reach this point in the tournament. A historic and unexpected achievement which brought back excitement on  both counts.

Marcel Granollers, doubles semi-finalist

The 2023 Australian Open has given Joma another significant result. The Spanish tennis player, Marcel Granollers, reached the doubles semi-finals with his partner Horacio Zeballos. They were the only unseeded pair to get so far in this category after fending off opposition from German player, Mies, and the Australian, Peers by 6-4, 6-7(2) and 6-2.

In his list of wins, Marcel Granollers has accumulated 24 titles in this speciality from a total of  47 hard-fought finals. His greatest success was the Masters, which he won in 2012 with Marc López as his partner.
